Sriracha Honey Roasted
Sriracha is a highly addictive hot sauce originating from Vietnam. This, by far, is one of our most controversial flavors in our portfolio. Many have asked how we, as a company, could ethically market this product to our customers. Our intention was never to condone such a practice of adding this hot sauce to our honey roasted peanuts, but we could no longer claim ignorance to the fact that many were resorting to dangerous black market avenues to meet this demand. In early 2021, bootlegged versions of Tennessee Peanut Company Sriracha Peanuts began circulating in the underground semi-pro wrestling scene. Predominantly, these peanuts were coming out of kitchens that were non-commercial, unregulated, and incredibly outdated; if not, poorly renovated with clashing color schemes. These counterfeits cans were printed with labels full of typos; fueling the vicious stereotypes against the Southern education system. With much consideration, we as a company, decided to provide a safer and more delicious version of the Sriracha & Honey Roasted peanuts; in hopes to diminish the market for unregulated peanuts smuggled across state borders throughout the country.
It is a long standing practice that we do not disclose our customers’ purchasing trends, in relation to this product, to any authorities without a warrant or court subpoena.
